This is my new favorite Rose Sawyer book! It's also on my list for favorites of 2016!
This book baited me from the start with the mystery but the relationship between Ellie and Alex hooked me.
This story focuses on Ellie and Alex and gives us a glimpse into who they are as individuals and as a couple. The only problem is, Ellie is not who she appears to be, or so she thinks. Yes, she is keeping a a very serious secret from Alex, but I truly believe that Ellie is more herself with Alex. She becomes a woman who can give and receive love and even though she shouldn't she gives her heart to Alex. Alex was once the playboy, with a different woman in his bed sometimes two or more times in a day, but he left that life behind and he is now a good guy when he meets Ellie it's as though he's been hit by lighting. He can't get enough of her and before long he has given her his heart even though he knows there is something she is keeping from him.
The end of this book with Alex just broke me! I can honestly tell you that the last line he speaks will be forever etched on soul. I just want to climb into that book and wrap myself around him and make everything okay in his life.
I know there is more coming and for that I am damn glad because I need more! I want it now, I need to see where the story leads.
Stalemate has all of the things that make a book unforgettable, mystery, intrigue, passion, heart and soul!
Rose Sawyer currently lives on campus full time while working on her undergraduate degree in Biblical and Religious studies with an emphasis on Religion and Sociology in California, where she was born and raised.
